Bees United members will shortly be receiving notices of the Trust AGM which will be taking place on 22 November, the day of the Darlington home fixture. Once again the venue will be St Paul's Church Hall, St Paul's Road, Brentford with a 12 noon kick off.

Bees United members will have a number of important decisions to make, as this year four places are available at the Trust Board elections: Matt Dolman's and David Hawes's terms on the Board have expired by rotation; Brian Burgess resigned from the Bees United board earlier in the year due to his involvement with the Lionel Road company and Trevor Inns is standing down as he is moving abroad.

A strong Brentford Football Club is dependent on a strong Bees United, and Bees United itself is nothing without its lifeblood of members who are prepared to donate money and considerable expertise to support the Trust. Needless to say, there is always someone who is going to say that there is more that can be done.

The Trust urge all Bees United members to give serious consideration to themselves standing for these elections. There is no special expertise required: just the willingness to attend one Board meeting a month, be broadly supportive of the Trust's objectives and have a commitment towards the long-term viability of Brentford Football Club.

Even if you don't wish to stand yourself, it is important that you give serious consideration to the profiles of each of the candidates. It is quite possible that one of these candidates may be Bees United's next representative on the Football Club board.

If you wish to stand for election to the Bees United Board you will be permitted to submit a written statement of up to 500 words to support your nomination. The closing date for receipt of nominations and election statements is Wednesday 1st October.
