Bees United has announced an extension to the deadline for receipt of nominations for the forthcoming Board Elections. The Supporters' Trust has also released a schedule of key dates during the election process.

The closing date for receipt of nominations has been extended by seven days to 8 October 2008.

The election process is being overseen by the Bees United Election Working Group, which comprises Board members, Paul Stedman and Mark Chapman and has an Independent Chair in Neil Le Milliere of the Exeter City Trust.

The Working Group has decided to extend the deadline in order that would-be candidates could use the opportunity of the "Open BU" Session on 4th October to raise any questions they may have about the election process and the work of the Bees United Board.

  • Candidates names announced on the BU Web Site: 10 October
  • Questions invited for Q+A Session with candidates: 14 October
  • Cut off date for questions: 23 October
  • Candidates advised of questions: 24 October
  • Cut off date for responses: 31 October
  • Answers posted on Bees United Website: 3 November
  • Cut off date for receipt of votes: 13 November

There are four places available to the Board in this round of elections, the voting process itself will be administered by the Electoral Reform Society and each of the successful candidates will be elected for a three-year term.

The Board elections are open to any members, aged 18 and over, when the election papers were posted out on 12 September.
