Following the close of nominations, Bees United has received six applications for election to the Society Board.

In accordance with the notices sent out to members there will be four vacancies to the Bees United Board. The Election process will be managed by the Electoral Reform Society who will use the Single Transferable Voting system.

It is intended that the statements of each of the candidates will be published on the Bees United web site next week.

As in previous years, where there have been contested elections to the Board, it is intended that there will be an online hustings. Requests for questions to the candidates will be issued next Tuesday with a deadline of 23 October. To avoid unnecessary repetition of questions on a similar nature, the Election Working Group may decide to group together or rationalise certain questions. Candidates will have a week to respond to the questions which will be published on Monday 3 November.

The cut off date for receipt of votes will be 13th November and the result will be announced at the Bees United AGM on 22 November.

The successful candidates will be entitled to serve a term of three years on the Society Board.
