As Bees United completed the takeover of the majority shareholding in Brentford on Friday morning the Brentford FC Ltd board met to appoint five new directors including new Chairman, Greg Dyke.

As Bees United completed the takeover of the majority shareholding in Brentford on Friday morning the Brentford FC Ltd board met to appoint five new directors including new Chairman, Greg Dyke.

The board also accepted the resignation of Stephen Callen as an executive director.

The new board is follows:

Joe Bourke – (nominated by Bees United)
Brian Burgess – (nominated by Bees United)
Greg Dyke – Chairman – (nominated by Bees United)
PO Emmanuelsson – (investor representative)
David Heath – (investor representative)
John Herting – (investor director)
Ian Jones – (investor representative)
Eddie Rogers – (investor director)

A further Bees United nominated supporter director will be selected by an election in which all adult Bees United members will be eligible to vote. Details of the three candidates can be found on the Bees United website.

Stephen Callen has stepped down as a board member and as executive Finance Director of Brentford FC Ltd. He continues as a board member and Finance Director of Bees United and will be available to help the club's finance team on a voluntary basis.

Bees United Chairman, Brian Burgess, paid tribute to Stephen's contribution to the work of the supporters' trust as a founder member and as a director of the club since 2003. He said: "Stephen has played an important part in establishing supporters' influence at the club and in delivering an operating profit before interest for the past two seasons. I am pleased that he will continue to keep a watchful eye from a shareholders' perspective on the club's financial performance."
