Following recent notices sent to Bees United members, nominations have now closed for elections to the Bees United Board.

Four members have put their names for forward for the three positions available, as a result elections will be held under auspicies of the Electoral Reform Services. Two of the vacancies on the Board are as a result of the Society’s Secretary, Bruce Powell and Finance Director, Stephen Callen having served their terms of office. TY

he third vacancy is a result of Paul Stedman’s decision to stand down due to work pressure and other commitments.

The four candidates who have out their names forward are Ron Cooper, Jon Gosling, Bruce Powell and Stephen Callen the latter two candidates will be seeking re-election to the Board for a further term of office. All candidates will be entitled to submit a personal profile of no more than 500 words.

Voting papers should be supplied to Trust members, from the Electoral Reform Services, by Friday 5 November. Ballot papers will be need to be returned to the ERS by Thursday 18 November, and the result will be announced at the Bees United AGM on 20 November.

The successful candidates will entitled to serve for a term of three years.As the Society’s secretary Bruce Powell is seeking re-election, the process will be scrutinised by Graham Hall who was recently elected as Bees United’s fourth nominated Club Director. Graham Hall, who is not a Bees United Board Member, will overview the Election process to ensure that the process is carried out in accordance with the Society’s rules.
