Bees United members should be receiving ballot papers this week for the forthcoming elections to the Society Board. The voting is being managed by the Electoral Reform Services who will be using the Single Transferable Voting System (STV).

There are six candidates at these elections, the names and statements will be in the Election Pack but you can also find them on this website.

It is worth pointing out at this stage you do not have to vote for all the candidates. If you only like the look of one of the candidates, then you simply place a "1" against the candidate's name; DO NOT put an "X" in the box.

If you can see merits in all the candidates then you can put "1" against your preferred candidate; "2" against your next preference and so on down the list to "6". Do not put the same number twice.

The candidates will be submitting their responses for the "online hustings" later this week and the intention is to have these published on the Bees United web site next Monday, 3 November.

So please hold off with your votes until you have had an opportunity to read the candidates views on a variety of subjects ranging from would you want the Club to sell talented players (such as the DJ Campbell situation) through to do you post on the GPG? . . . . but nothing about onions, funnily enough.

The cut off date for votes is 13th November, and the results of the elections will be announced at the Trust AGM on 22nd November. The successful candidates will be entitled to serve for a three year term.
