Help the club trial a new fan feature – and win a reward at our next game!
Are you heading to our away match against Aston Villa?
For these fixtures, we’re looking for Bees fans who are planning to drive to the games, those who might get a lift with another supporter, or anyone who is looking for a ride there and back.
If this sounds like you, we’d like you to help us trial our new ridesharing feature on the Brentford FC app.
If you take part in the trial, either by offering a lift or accepting one, you’ll receive a voucher for a free food and free drink item. This will be redeemable at the next home game you attend.
The feature, operated by Slinger, allows fans to offer spare seats in their car to other supporters. It can also be used to find available seats in a car and book a ride from an agreed location.
By sharing a car journey to the match, you can:
- Split the cost of the journey with an agreed up-front fee, saving you money on fue
- Reduce the carbon emissions of travel by having more people get to the match in fewer cars
- Meet other Bees fans and enjoy the pre-match build-up together

Joining the trial is simple, just follow the instructions below to start using Slinger ridesharing on the Brentford FC app.

We’d also like you to send as much feedback as possible about your experience using Slinger to the same email address. Screenshots are very helpful. Please also tell us what device you are using (Apple/Android/other).
Please note, you will only be entitled to a voucher after sharing your feedback with us and successfully completing a ride as passenger or driver.

How to find Slinger on the app:
- Open the app (or click here to download it now)
- Make sure you’re logged in to your Brentford FC account
- Close any pop ups
- Click on the menu button on the top left
- Click on ‘Matchday Information’, and again on the next page
- Scroll down and click on the ride share banner at the bottom of the screen
- Choose ‘offer ride’ if you are driving, or ‘ride along’ if you are looking for a ride
- Choose the match you’re searching for
- Follow the instructions on screen to get set up and organise a rideshare!
Before using Slinger, please be aware of the following:
- Slinger is strictly for over 18s only
- The feature will put drivers and passengers in touch with each other. Offers and requests for rides can be made and personal information (for example, phone number and location to organise pick-up) will be shared with both parties if the driver accepts a ride request.
- Ride share payments can be made online using Slinger, or in person
- Slinger cannot be used to make a profit on a journey and can only be used to share the cost of a journey. Slinger will automatically calculate a suggested contribution per passenger based on the length of your trip using HM Revenue and Customs’ Approved Mileage Payment Allowance. The cost is capped and can only be reduced from this point. Breaching the no-profit rule will risk legally invalidating your car insurance and make driving your car illegal.*
