GROWING BU

I announced at the BU AGM earlier this year in January that, following the resignation of three valued and experienced board members, we would be recruiting new Board members.

We are delighted to confirm that you have elected, Steve Hammond, Peter Turner and Ben Bland (in no particular order).

This is a member resolution so there is no requirement for ratification at our AGM in January.

Ben, Steve and Peter, have been been invited to their first, Board meeting, November 5th.

We thank Brian Jeffrys and Stuart Fowler for their contributions to our democratic process and their competitive spirit. They both know, as do all the potential candidates that we are very keen to stay in touch. Thank you to all of you.

Stuart

THE BEES UNITED BOARD

Bees United has fought for a unique role in ensuring that Brentford remains a club which we, the fans, can call our own. We are unique as the only fan group in the Premier League with a seat on the main board of its club. We also have a Protective Rights Deed which is legally binding confirming BU’s rights to veto any proposed sale of the club’s stadium and to appoint a fan to the club Board.

We represent our members on the BFC Fan Advisory Board, which we Co-Chair. We sit on a number of BFC Working Groups. We are the custodians of the Club’s archive and take the lead on preserving and celebrating BFC’s history and heritage. We want fans to know and understand where we have come from as a club and we are committed to strengthening the bonds between the Club and the community which it serves.
