FOR THOSE BEES FANS WHO DIDN’T LIVE TO SEE THIS DAY, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

One month on from Wembley we wanted to pay tribute to all those Bees fans who supported the club through the lean years but didn’t live to see the day Brentford returned to the top tier of English football. We’ve tried to honour the Bees United members who have died in the past two decades. If you would like to add a name please email admin@beesunited.org.uk giving us the person’s full name and the year they passed on. (Photo by Mark D Fuller)

BACK TO THE FUTURE AGAINST ARSENAL

The last time the Bees played Arsenal was in the Carabao Cup quarter-final in 2018. Alan Judge scored with a brilliant free-kick but apart from that the 3-1 defeat was a game to forget. Now being at home to Arsenal will give the Bees a great start to life back in the top tier. BU Contributing Editor, Bill Hagerty, also thinks it will be fitting to start back where the Bees left off in 1947.

It was all incredibly Brentford, the two Directors of Football, Rasmus Ankersen and Phil Giles, sitting at The Globe pub having a few drinks with the Beesotted crew talking about the Bees. The two-part podcast is an absolute must listen, especially part two where the talk turns to what to expect in the coming Premier League season.
