BEST OF BEES ONLINE

Remember the time when the media covered Bees matches so rarely that we at BU started doing it ourselves? Now you can’t move for the coverage of everything Bees.

So it’s appropriate that BU got a major mention in an article in the i paper.
There’s an even more glowing article on a football website here.
The Daily Mail reported that the Arsenal game was nearly called off because of COVID here.
Veteran fan and Mark’s dad, Derek Burridge, was in media around the world after this article in the Guardian.
And finally one you may have missed, a really nice piece about the good deeds being done now by ‘Brentford hero Ijah Anderson’.

NEW MEMBERS

Our rise into the Premier League has meant the international membership of Bees United has risen 34%. So a big welcome to our new readers in places as diverse as Senegal, Nigeria, Iceland, Missouri,Texas, and across Scandinavia. One of the biggest increases is in Australia so a special welcome to 90 year old Ken Cripps, Brentford born and bred but now living in South Australia.

Ken, your nephew’s wife Carla Cripps signed you up saying you’ve been a Brentford fan since you were five, you put on a Bees shirt to celebrate beating Arsenal, you don’t have a computer but she and her husband Ray will print out our newsletters for you. Enjoy.

COMMUNITY SPORTS TRUST

If you’ve ever walked around behind the away end of the stadium you may have noticed a new office building being completed. The Community Sports Trust lived for many years in tiny offices in Half Acre, Brentford so they deserve a bit of space. Trust staff will be moving in soon. The offices are yet another part of the community complex that is the new home of Brentford FC.

IMAGE OF THE MONTH

With so many amazing images to choose from over the past month we finally chose Rich Probert and his grandad. It’s all that needs to be said about what Brentford FC means to its fans.
