Lionel Road
Brentford Football Club has, for many years, endeavoured to secure a new stadium that provides improved supporter amenities, community facilities and a range of commercial opportunities.
In November 2002, Bees United unveiled plans for a 20,000-capacity community stadium at Lionel Road, a triangle of land close to Kew Bridge, just a short distance from the Club's current Griffin Park stadium.
Plans for the site have significant political support – locally and nationally – and Bees United believes it has every reason to think it can achieve its goal.
In conjunction with Barratt Homes, the project will provide a flagship model of a community-owned stadium hub. This will enable Bees United and Brentford FC to build on the strong foundation of the club’s renowned Football in the Community scheme and the Griffin Park Learning Zone.
