Saturday, 28 August 2004

Bees United, The Brentford Supporters' Trust, are delighted to announce the date of Election "Hustings" for candidates who have put their names forward to be a Trust-nominated Club Director.

The hustings will be held on 18th September, the day of the Port Vale home fixture, in the Sponsors Lounge after the game, starting at 5.45pm and aiming to finish by 7.30pm. Candidates will be on hand to answer questions from Bees United members and spell out their vision for Brentford FC.

Under the terms of the Bees United loan agreement with the Club, The Supporters' Trust are now in a position to nominate a further director for appointment to the board of Brentford FC Limited. The elected candidate will be nominated to join three existing Bees United nominees on the club board; John McGlashan, Andrew Wainwright and Stephen Callen.

Following an invitation sent to all Bees United members, the following seven supporters have put their name forward for election.

Mark Chapman
Ron Cooper
Tony Cross
Jon Gosling
Rod Gowers
Graham Hall
John Huggins

As originally stated, any candidate will have a limited opportunity to withdraw their names from the process, and they will have until Wednesday 1st September to exercise this option.

Election documentation will now be prepared for despatch to the Bees United membership by 15th September 2004.

The closing date for the receipt of votes will be 29th September 2004.
