The closing date for nominations has now passed and we have received a number of nominations for the position.

The next steps to be taken are as follows:-

I will be writing to the nominees and requesting them to

a) submit their 500 word statement.
b) (this is optional ) to submit a personal cv to help members know who they are and their backgrounds.
c) To sign the Brentford Football Club Directors Code of Conduct.
d) To make a declaration of compliance with the Football Leagues' new Fit and Proper Test for Football Club Directors rules and guidance.

Once these are received the list of names will be given to the BFC board for their information and endorsement.

Subject to any decisions that the BFC board makes I will advise the candidates of the other candidates names and ask if any one wishes to withdraw their nomination.

Once this has been undertaken I will prepare the voting forms and supporting documentation for despatch

It is hoped that we can arrange for "hustings" to take place at a home game early in the season to give supporters the chance to question the candidates before they have to cast their votes.

I would hope that we will have the election result declared at the end of September.
