Notice is hereby given that the 2nd Annual General Meeting of Brentford Football Community Society Limited will take place in Stripes Bar, Griffin Park, Braemar Road, Brentford, on Saturday 2nd November 2002 at 10:30am (not 3rd November as on letters sent to members).

Nominations for election to the Society Board should be accompanied by a brief personal profile and must be addressed to:

Nominations* must be received no later than Saturday 12th October 2002. All members over the age 18 are eligible for election.

"Any other business" items for inclusion in the agenda should be received in writing, 14 days before the AGM.

The proposed agenda is as follows:

1. Annual Report

2. Finance Report and adoption of Accounts

3. Election of Officers of the Society

4. Election of Auditors

5. Any other business

*In the event that nominations exceed the maximum permitted number of elected board members there will be a postal ballot for all persons over 18 who are members of the Society on 30th September 2002.

The committee members of Bees United would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for their support. Membership is now 1100 plus and rising and with so much to discuss, it would be nice to see a healthy turnout for the meeting.

EXTRACT FROM THE RULES OF THE BRENTFORD FOOTBALL COMMUNITY SOCIETY LIMITED:

CONSTITUTION OF SOCIETY BOARD
54. With effect from the Society's first annual general meeting, the Society Board is to have not less than 12 and not more than 15 members and will be made up as follows:
a. 8 members of the Society Board or such higher number as shall be required so that elected members of the Board are in a majority over co-opted members will be elected by the members in accordance with such arrangements as shall be determined by the Society Board.
b. Not less than 4 members will be co-opted by the Society Board in accordance with a Board Membership Policy when it will develop and adopt. The purpose of the Board Membership Policy will be to ensure that:
i) the Society Board has the skills and experience which it needs to operate effectively;
ii) the interests of the community served by the Society are adequately represented;
iii) the level of representation of different groups on the Society board strikes an appropriate balance having regard to their legitimate interest in the Society's affairs.
