This season (2007-08) will see the re-launch of a number of existing Bees United schemes that I hope will regenerate interest and help boost our funds. In addition I hope to introduce some new schemes and hold more events, something that Bees United have not done a great deal.

Brighton to Brentford: Walk Update

We have so far collected approximately £7500 in sponsorship monies with at least a further £300 indicated by those who are still collecting their monies. As a gentle reminder anyone who has sponsorship monies outstanding should forward their cheques for my attention at the club address. £10,000 is not far away and I still think that we should be able to achieve this target.

Sponsor a Striker

Despite a very poor season last year, Sponsor a Striker raised more monies than ever before, totalling almost £2000.  Thanks and well done to those winners who will be announced in the programme on Saturday 15th September.  This years forms should now be available, make sure you fill in yours today!

Easyfundraising

A really good scheme that could be much better utilised!  This shopping portal has over 400 sites that make a donation to Bees United (providing you select them as your chosen cause) every time you shop with them, through the easyfundraising portal. With approximately 225 registered users this scheme has generated approaching £1100. I will be publicising this scheme in much greater detail throughout the season.

Don't forget that there are plenty of other schemes that can help you raise funds for Bees United, the bucket collections are still on the go and the bucketeers collect in the region of £400 at each home game. Of course we are always on the lookout for volunteers to help out from time to time. If you can help please let me know. Some schemes are listed below:

  • Bee Green
  • Gigs at The Hive
  • Collection Tins
  • General donations and Standing Orders
  • Text Bees
  • Bees United Investment Club

I would appreciate feedback on some of the following ideas for fundraising events, to be staged if thought appropriate.

  • Barn Dance
  • Boat Party
  • Teddy Bears Picnic
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Valentines Disco
  • Hallowen Party
  • Race Night
  • Gala Reception
  • Sponsored events

As ever if anyone has any thoughts, ideas or time to spare to help organise fundraising activities then please \n This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
